If given the chance to create his own TV show, 25-year-old Ghanaia filmmaker Godfred Dela Duvi’s would focus on traveling the African continent, and taking advantage of the continent’s endless escarpment.
“I believe Africa is a beautiful continent that needs to be explored. Therefore a show that showcases the people of Africa, culture and places will definitely put Africa in the right light and attract more people to visit Africa,” says Duvi, who holds a degree from the National Film and Television Institute in Accra.
His favourite films include Tom Hooper’s The Danish Girl and Luis Valdez’s 1987 biopic La Bamba. The African film creatives he admires the most include Ghanaian filmmaker Shirley Frimpong Manso, and Nigeria’s Genevieve Nnaji and Kunle Afolayan.
As part of the MultiChoice Talent Factory’s Class of 2019, Duvi hopes to gain an advanced film skills that will guide him along his my filmmaking journey, as well as the chance to interact with likeminded filmmakers. Alongside film, Duvi is also passionate about modelling and fashion.
