26-year-old Nigerian film buff Igho Arusi is an audio operator whose sighs are firmly set on becoming a filmmaker. Born in Lagos, Arusi is also a computer science graduate.
As part of the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy’s Class of 2019, Arusi is eager to immerse himself in the programme and use what he has learnt to create more engaging and educative films and TV shows alongside other emerging filmmakers.
The African film creative he looks up to the most is Nigerian film and TV veteran Femi Odugbemi, whom Arusi admires for his wealth of knowledge on both the execution and business of storytelling. Arusi is also an avid fan of renowned Nigerian actor Richard Mofe-Damijo.
As an upcoming creative, Arusi wants to ensure that he can contribute to Africa’s creative film and TV industry by creating a platform where young filmmakers can perfect their storytelling films and also get the necessary funding to create films.
