Joshua Omondi Otieno fondly known as Josh Artkins grew up as a dancer.

Josh lives off and on art.  He has been acting on stage for the last four years but has always had the desire to get on screen. Having no available opportunity, he took the bold step to create the opportunity for himself. In 2019, Josh together with his friends formed CHOKWOOD PRODUCTIONS eager to move mountains and tell stories through film.

Josh can now confidently say he has begun his journey towards becoming a professional filmmaker, having co-produced, written and directed six short films three of which have gained recognition and awards in festivals like Eldoret Film Festival, Lake International Pan-African Film Festival and Mau Mau Art Mobile Phone competition. Joshua is a firm believer that ‘Story is King’ and has made himself a storyteller having one of his scripts nominated at the 2021 Kalasha Market Script Pitching Competition. Being a graduate of the first cohort of Kalasha Writer’s Hub by the Kenya Film Commission, he is well equipped to tell the stories of Africa.

At Multichoice Talent Factory Joshua looks forward to tell cathartic stories of the continent and by extension ignite the globe.
