MTFXNBC Workshop

The MultiChoice Talent Factory received invites from The National Broadcasting Commission and the National Film and Video Censors Board to facilitate different workshops for different government bodies.

The workshop was a two-day workshop that took place in Lagos, Nigeria. The workshop looked at the challenges in content development and acquisition.

The purpose of the workshops was to push forward the MultiChoice Talent Factory narrative and the impact of MTF in the industry both in empowering the industry and in creating employment for young filmmakers.

Another reason for the participation in the workshops was to look for possible collaborations between the MultiChoice Talent Factory and the industry as well as possible employment for our alumni.

The workshop was organized by the National Broadcasting Commission as a result of their concerns with the issues related to the quality of content on various platforms in the country attributed mainly to limit access to funds.

The MultiChoice Talent Factory West Africa Academy Director, Atinuke Babatunde spoke on the Economic Dynamic of Content Development and Acquisition.

The workshops were attended by MD/CEO of AIMS Media Company Hajia Aminah Muhammed, Director Broadcast Monitoring Franca Aiyetan and Director, Investigation & Enforcement (NBC) Obi Susan.

About 70 practitioners made up of Broadcast platform owners and content creators across different segments were also in attendance at the workshops.
