22-year-old Kenyan freelance music director and graphic designer Brian Kenyariri is passionate about bridging the gap between fresh and seasoned talent within Africa’s creative industries.

As a part of the Class of 2019, Kenyariri hopes that his tenure at the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy will open him up to a network of like-minded African creatives that are passionate about creating content for Africans.

“We need Grammys in Africa. We are the future of entertainment [and] we are rich in culture,” says Kenyariri.

His favourite actors include British-Nigerian Idris Elba and Beninese American actor Djimon Hounsou. His favourite film is Commando 2.

If he could create any TV show, it would be centred on the difficulties of developing a pipeline of fresh talent for the continent’s various entertainment industries. “I want to show how we are hiding talents and recycle the same talent and that's the reason why our films, music, art etc. are not hitting international standards,” Kenyariri explains.
