Eric Kafui Okyerefo is a 24-year-old Ghanaian freelance writer whose passion for film and TV is coupled with his dream career of becoming a media entrepreneur.
“My goal is to run one of the leading and most innovative media businesses in the world that tells the right stories, produce the best movies and one that engages and gives young people across the globe a voice,” says Okyerefo.
His favourite TV shows include local South African dramas Rhythm City and The Wild & MTV Shuga. His favourite films are the Harry Potter series, How They See Us, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind and The Burial of Kojo.
Okyerefo holds a BA in Communication Studies from Ghana Institute of Journalism, and if given the chance to create a TV show, his would focus on telling stories about young people leading positive change across the African continent.
As part of the MultiChoice Talent Factory Academy’s Class of 2019, Okyerefo hopes to learn how to transform his stories and scripts into powerful movies for people to consume, enjoy and learn from.
