My name is Tshepo Naledi Mokwena and my interest in film was encouraged by my father who introduced me to one of my favourite films, Avatar. Since then, I always wondered how I could make that world a reality for myself and the people who would watch my work and be inspired like I was when I watched Avatar. My childhood shaped the kind of stories that I wanted to tell; I learnt a lot about storytelling through childhood games that I use to play in the streets. My love for the arts was nurtured at the National School of Arts where I was honing my Acting skills and my passion for film and Television was developed at Afda where I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Live Performance. I am a lover of shows that inspire me and challenge me as a creative: Black Mirror, Atlanta, The River, Grownish
Magic in Motion is the first and best risk that I have ever taken, and I can’t wait to create magic.
