I made my entry into the Nigerian entertainment scene in 2006, as a co-host for the first season of Mnet's “Big Brother Nigeria”. The hit reality TV show was broadcast live across the African
continent on satellite television. My versatility and dexterity saw me go on to host numerous events and product launches including, work for brands such as; Maybelline New York, Nokia, UBA, Sahara Group, Red TV, Etihad Airways, The Genevieve Pink Ball, Clickatell, the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards Nominee Show, the African Academy Movie Awards, the Africa International Film Festival which I hosted in English and French. In November 2018 I hosted the Google Impact Challenge Nigeria Event which saw 12 non profits receive $2m grant from Google. As a TV host I co hosted “Glam Report TV” a fashion and lifestyle program on Africa Magic Showcase and later co- hosted “Moments Nigeria” for two years, which was the flag ship talk show on ELTV.
In 2014 after numerous respected Nigerian directors suggested I begin acting, I auditioned for and was cast as a lead character Tari Gambadia in ELTV’s "Desperate Housewives Africa";
the African adaptation of the original ABC hit TV drama series Desperate Housewives. In 2016, I was cast in the role of Omowunmi Banjo in MNET’s
critical darling TV Series – "Hush", which earned me a Best Actress in a Television Series nomination at the 2017 AMVCA’s.
My cinema feature film credits include ; "Moms At War," directed by Omoni Oboli. Kenyan feature film “Dear Mother” as the lead female Paula Nova in director Phillip Bresson’s romantic comedy. Nigerian psychological drama "What Lies Within". The latter earned me a 2017 Best of Nollywood Best Actress Award for my portrayal of the lead female character Fiona who was bipolar. In February 2018 , for the second time in less than a year I returned to cinemas in a leading role. This time it as the titular character in the romantic comedy “June”.
2018 Feature film credits included "Power of 1", as activist Ope in the politically charged drama by renown Nigerian director Izu Ojukwu, and as Idara Otuekong in romantic drama
"Up North" directed by Tope Oshin. "A Soldiers Story 2" directed by Frankie Ogar in which I portray Captain Nimma an intelligence officer in the Nigerian army is set for release in 2019.
I can currently be seen in Africa Magic’s new legal drama series “E.V.E” as Kemi Adebayo, Sundays at 7pm on Dstv Showcase channel 151.
My Theatre Credits include; An adaptation of Eve Ensler’s Monologues.
“V Monologues” The Nigerian Story directed by Najite Dede. Solo monologues included: “The Woman’s Song” (celebrating the sensuality of a woman), "Slice & Dice (Dr giving a lecture on female genital mutilation/circumcision),
Group monologues: “A place of Refuge” (portrayed a Liberian (with Liberian accent) in a refugee camp), “He Hits Me” (monologue on domestic violence)
"The V vs Tarzan Monologues” directed by Wole Oguntokun
Solo monologues: Reprised the role of a Liberian refugee in “A place of Refuge” as well as the role of the Sierra Leonean refugee in first part of the same monologue.
"In the Land of the Spirits” (fervent born again Christian woman, who believes her husband’s family have cast spells on her)
Voice over credits include; “Lagosa” radio drama season 1, as Jamilla Babatunde, daddy's girl and devoted wife of ex scandalous governor of Lagosa. “The Indomitables” as Mistress Shussh, the powerful evil villain in the cartoon created for Indomie Instant Noodles. “The Arival” radio drama, as Daniela Blanche (Southern American Accent), one of four psychiatrists bewildered by a new patient at a maximum security asylum who claims to be the new messiah. I have also done v.o’s for “Interiors By Design” TV promos, Yo! Yoghurt, Garment Care Drycleaners, Up Front And Personal event planners,UBA, Sealy, Sound City Music TV.
