Dalyop Nuhu Chuwang is an independent film maker born and raised in jos the capital city of Plateau; whose career has been marked by some portrayals of wonderful eccentric people, in the African and international cinema, Nuhu who dumped medicine for film studies. Started as a writer, actor, volcanic eruptions which turned in to a production company in 2013 with dream of film works.
Born on 01/08/1990 in bukuru jos plateau state Nigeria, 1st child of my family, attended government science school kuru jos, my first professional job was in 2010, after I left science to study film, my passion for film making was breezed at the mmanex media jos, were I attend a three weeks workshop on film making, my script won the best project during the workshop, after which I was on Izu Ojukwus movie, “Teachers Pride”2010 in jos, after attending series of Auditions.
went to pefti film institute Lagos 2011 to study film and TV production, my Dad who is a pharmacist and my step mum a business woman, weren’t in support of my choice to for film, it took a while to convince them about my love and passion for storytelling.
Nuhu has attended seminars, workshop, and film festivals, including LAFF, AFRIFF, GIST WORKSHOP, AFF, and lots more. And made his first short professional film, a thriller “Hunting the Hunter” 2013 as his final year project, which clinched an award from the National Innovative Awards (NIDA),for Best Student Film 2013, with other several nomination after which was selected to attend the Haile Gerima film workshop in Luxor 2014, were he made his second short student film, “Just A Friend” which screen at the 3rd Luxor African International Film Festival, and clinched the award for Best Short Film Foreign, at the 11th Abuja International Film Festival 2014. Including nomination for Best Student Film at African International Film Festival 2014, and later selected to attend the Academy for African Filmmakers 2014 by Mofilm and unilever. Then got endorsed to make a film for girl child education in Africa by unilever in London.
